Cuvée des Hussards 2008
Size: 75 cL
Named in homage to Napoleon’s light cavalry - who were the first to use sabrage, the opening of a bottle of champagne with a sabre in celebration - Cuvée des Hussards is powerful and expressive. The 2008 vintage is crafted from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes from 55-year-old vieilles vignes and aged 8 years before a late disgorgement.
JOSE JOAQUIM CORTES, Best Sommelier in Spain, 2nd Best Sommelier in the world
"A must-try cuvée for anyone who loves the most original wines."
EDWIN RABEN, four-time Best Sommelier in the Netherlands
Tasting notesA complex nose of candied apple, apricot and peach gives way to warm spices and aromas of roasting. The powerful palette is rich, supported by a delicate, creamy mousse.
