CUVÉE DES HUSSARDS 2012 IMMERGED - PREMIER CRU
Among the prestigious vintages of the Cuvée des Hussards, a selection of bottles from 2012 benefited from extraordinary aging. After eight years in the cellar, they were submerged for a year at a depth of 60 meters, off the island of Ouessant in Brittany. This marine breeding magnifies the blend, composed of 85% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Noir, by giving it a saline dimension inherited from the sea spray which reinforces its rarity and the finesse of this cuvée.
Shaped by unique aging, this exceptional vintage is available in only 800 bottles.

FEATURES
Immersed in the depths of the sea, the Cuvée des Hussards 2012 evolved in a unique setting, where the water temperature, stable between 10 and 14°C, and total darkness recreated conditions similar to those in our cellars. At this depth, under a pressure of 6 bars, equivalent to that contained in the bottle, it continued to mature for 1 year. This vintage, of rare elegance, reveals an unparalleled aromatic profile, where lemony and brioche notes harmonize with a captivating salty touch. The influence of the sea, transmitted by subtle exchanges through the cork stopper, magnifies its complexity, giving birth to an exceptional vintage, of unparalleled depth and finesse.

TASTING NOTES

By eye
At first glance its slightly golden color reminds us of the reflections of the sun in the ocean.
On the nose
Its nose, very delicate, opens with subtle notes of raisins, acacia honey, citrus zest and pastry touches. It instantly transports us to the heart of the great Chardonnays of the Côte des Blancs.
In the mouth
Its lively attack, full of tension, is specific to the particular conditions of the 2012 vintage, which combines maturity and freshness. We find great aromatic complexity, aromas of green apples, white flowers, apricots and toasted almonds, all held together by a saline expression in reference to sea spray.
SERVICE
Guard time
The submerged Hussards 2012 vintage can be kept for up to 10 years. Store it away from light, in a dark, humid place, at a temperature between 10 and 12°C.

For optimal tasting, we recommend serving our wines at a temperature of 12 degrees.
