CUVÉE DES HUSSARDS 2013
The Cuvée des Hussards pays tribute to the Napoleonic cavalry, to whom the Frerejean family supplied cannons. After several remarkable vintages, the 2013 vintage continues this tradition of excellence. It embodies Maison Frerejean Frères’ commitment to its philosophy of long aging, showcasing the ability of its wines to age while preserving a brilliant freshness. The 2013 vintage, made from an exceptionally late harvest, captures the essence of a generous land, where each precise and controlled gesture enhances the work of an entire year.

CHARACTERISTICS
The unique personality of the Cuvée des Hussards was carefully shaped during the harvest that began on September 25, 2013. After a cold and wet winter, a hot and dry summer provided ideal sunshine, allowing the grapes to mature perfectly. Made from 90% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Noir, this cuvée comes from the Vertus vineyards, a Premier Cru village. It is distinguished by its remarkable acidity and represents a true champagne for aging, which will gain in complexity over time.
